CES 2026: HyperX OMEN Gaming Laptops Have Been Unleashed

At CES 2026, HP has announced a suite of new gaming laptops, starting with the HyperX OMEN MAX 16, and two other options for gamers to hit the ground running.

This year at CES 2026, HP introduced a new line of HyperX OMEN gaming laptops, designed to turn any desk into a portable battle station for gaming on the go (or at home). With the latest AI processing power, customizable RAM options, OMEN AI functionality, and the sleek design that HyperX OMEN gaming peripherals are known for, these laptops are built to impress.

CES 2026 is packed with AI advancements, and OMEN is showcasing its latest innovation, OMEN AI (supported with CoPilot), across its new gaming laptops. OMEN AI takes FPS optimization to the next level with a one-click, personalized solution for each game, automatically adjusting system, hardware, and game settings— with no more endless troubleshooting. First introduced at CES 2025, this technology is now featured in OMEN’s latest laptops at CES 2026.

CES 2026: HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Key Specifications

  • Consumers have the option to choose their own processor. The next-generation hardware is capable of delivering up to 300W Total Platform Power, which is a 20% increase over the previous generation. Buyers can choose between the next-gen Intel CPU or next-gen AMD Ryzen AI CPU.
  • To pair the advanced CPU, HyperX delivers high graphical fidelity with GPUs all the way up to the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU.
  • Power charging is here for gaming laptops, and HyperX OMEN MAX 16 boasts it can charge to approximately 50% in just 30 minutes.
  • HyperX also brought a 16-inch 2.5K OLED 240Hz 500-nit display to the equation, tying power to a display capable of delivering crisp visuals. Built-in anti-glare technology assures users they get the best visuals in the darkest of clouds and the brightest of mornings. The MAX 16 also equips players with Variable Refresh Rate support to ensure players miss nothing on the battlefield. The OMEN MAX 16’s screen-to-body ratio is also 89%, an improvement over their previous offerings (and an improvement over the HyperX OMEN 15 & 16 also revealed at CES 2026).
  • OMEN Tempest Cooling and HP’s first-ever 8,000Hz high-polling keyboard (both customizable through OMEN Gaming Hub) work together to keep players in the game and out of the menus, giving the mobile platform the power of a desktop.
  • OMEN AI functionality adjusts settings for the gamer to plug-and-play with a single click, but for those who need a hands-on approach, settings can also be tailored to how the user sees fit.

HyperX OMEN 15 & 16 Features

HP wasn’t finished there with mobile gaming options. They’ve also pulled back the curtain at CES 2026 on the HyperX OMEN 15 and HyperX OMEN 16 gaming laptops for those who don’t necessarily need the extra firepower the MAX 16 comes with.

The non-MAX options have access to many of the features present in the MAX 16, including OMEN Tempest Cooling, OMEN Gaming Hub, OMEN AI, and the optionality between AMD Ryzen and Intel processors. But the HyperX OMEN 15 and 16 gaming laptops provide a more affordable option with less powerful GPU choices, reaching up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070. It’s worth mentioning that every gaming laptop presented in the new HyperX OMEN CES 2026 showcase also comes with the upgraded 16:10 aspect ratio, providing extra space for productivity or play on the go.

All of the new HyperX OMEN gaming laptops in the lineup also provide the opportunity for gamers to overclock their device with OMEN Unleashed Mode, letting players optimize their PC with a simple click, and OMEN AI can take the reins from there.
