CES 2026: MSI Expands Business Line-Up with New Prestige Laptops

MSI’s refreshed Prestige lineup signals a more serious push into ultra-thin, high-end laptops for professionals at CES 2026.

MSI used CES 2026 to introduce a fully refreshed Prestige series that delivers power, performance and style in equal measure. The announcement covers a range of ultra-thin, productivity-focused laptops designed to compete with the best in the category. Leveraging Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors and high-quality OLED displays, the lineup highlights that innovation remains very much alive in the laptop market. The systems are also offered in two new colourways that emphasize a premium aesthetic: Platinum Gray and Beige Gold, the latter exclusive to the Prestige 16 AI+ C3M.

First on the docket are the striking new Prestige 16 AI+ and Prestige 14 AI+ models from MSI. The laptops have been reengineered to be lighter and slimmer than their predecessors, with the 14-inch model shedding 20 per cent of its weight to reach just 1.32 kilograms.

Both feature an aluminum alloy chassis with a prismatic, diamond-cut finish that gives them a distinct, professional look. Having seen the new series in person, I was impressed. They look like machines I would happily bring along to events such as CES, though for now I will have to admire them from afar.

Under the hood, the machines are powered by Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processors. MSI says the integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics can rival the performance of dedicated RTX 4050 GPUs, making the laptops capable options for creative work and light gaming. The displays also stand out, featuring 2.8K OLED panels that support variable refresh rates of up to 120 hertz. To ensure comfort during long workdays, the screens are certified for low blue light and flicker-free operation.

MSI also announced convertible versions of its flagships, the Prestige 16 Flip AI+ and Prestige 14 Flip AI+. The 2-in-1 devices retain the high-end specifications of the standard models while adding a 360-degree hinge and touch capabilities. A key addition is the MSI Nano Pen, a stylus that stores and charges directly inside the laptop chassis. MSI says a 13-second charge provides enough power for 45 minutes of use, and the pen includes a dedicated button to instantly launch Microsoft Copilot. It was also impressive how the pen slips into the bottom of the laptop, where it is stored securely without the need to worry about it falling out in a bag or at a coffee shop.

For users who prioritize maximum portability, MSI unveiled the Prestige 13 AI+. Weighing just 899 grams, the company compares its heft to carrying three magazines. Seen in person, it is striking just how small and light the machine truly is.

Despite its size, the laptop does not compromise on connectivity or battery life. It packs a 53-watt-hour battery and a full selection of ports, including Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, it is designed to handle demanding tasks despite its featherweight build.

As always, we will need hands-on time in our office to fully test the devices, but early impressions leave us eager to put them through their paces.
