On July 12, 2024, the Concord Early Access Beta will begin for PC and PS5 players, so we rounded up the details on how to participate.
The latest shooter from PlayStation Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Concord, is getting ready to head into its Early Access Beta. This 5v5 hero shooter will feature 16 playable characters called “Freegunners” and all 16 will be playable in the Concord Early Access Beta, giving you a leg up on mastering your favourite, and it includes customization! PC and PS5 Concord players will be able to play together in this cross-platform Early Access Beta as well.
This Beta is available to anyone who has pre-ordered any edition of the game, and these players have also been awarded four additional codes to share with friends. The Concord Early Access Beta is available for pre-download by PlayStation players starting today, July 11, at 10 am PST/1 pm EST. Those who did not pre-order the game but are interested in the Open Beta will have to wait until next week, July 18th, 2024, to dive in, with the pre-download taking place on July 17 at 10 am PST/1 pm EST.
Three modes will be playable in the Concord Early Access Beta, “so whether you are looking to queue up for a quick round of Trophy Hunt or want to prove you and your crew have the best strats to retrieve Blue Buddy in Cargo Run, there’s something for everyone.” There will also be four playable maps: Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard and Shock Risk. PlayStation also noted that these specs are for the Early Access and Open Betas and to watch out for final specs and features before the August launch.

Those who participate in the Betas will receive special goodies, including a Frog Weapon Charm, a Star Flare Icon and a Business Card. The Concord Early Access Beta and Open Beta will share progression, but the progress will not carry over to the final game, which launches on August 23, 2024.
