With the massive success of DAN DA DAN‘s first season, the official website and account for the anime has announced the second season will be arriving next year, premiering in July 2025. As they released a visual poster to announce the exciting news, the anime will be streaming on Netflix, Crunchyroll, 6Kids, Hulu, Muse, and ADN.
Not much is known about the second season of DAN DA DAN, but we do know it will continue the adventure of Momo Ayase and her classmate Ken “Okarun” Takaura. But it isn’t exactly unknown as it is based on the ongoing DAN DA DAN manga by Shonen Jump since 2021.
For those unaware of the DAN DA DAN anime and those who are interested in checking it out, the synopsis from Crunchyroll reads: “When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirits mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, and occult geek, they argue– Momo believes in ghosts but denis aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.”
If interested in reading the manga in the meantime, the DAN DA DAN manga by Yukinobu Tatsu has been published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga magazine since April 2021, with 17 volumes released in Japan as of today. An English version is available from the VIZ media.
Quite exciting news for the fans of Dan Da Dan, as the second season will be premiering on Netflix, Crunchyroll, 6Kids, Hulu, Muse, and ADN in July 2025.
