Mintrocket, the developers behind the acclaimed game, Dave the Diver, revealed that its DLC, In the Jungle, will be released on June 18th.
Announced in a new gameplay trailer featured during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, it offers an in-depth look at the new content coming to the Dave the Diver DLC. In the Jungle lasts for about 10 hours on average, where Dave explores a new jungle area. Utara is the new village that you will explore, where you can dive all day long while fostering new relationships with the locals for new rewards and new customers for Dave to serve.
Bancho’s Sushi is not the only restaurant that players can manage now. The DLC also introduces Bancho’s Grill. The main change to the gameplay is that Dave is no longer limited in movement. Instead of being restricted to a horizontal plane, he can now move freely through several areas. As the DLC progresses and players help more villagers, the Grill becomes an important gameplay link to the wider community.
One question many players will have is whether Dave will still dive. The answer is yes. Dave can now explore a freshwater lake instead of the Blue Hole from the main Dave the Diver game. The lake introduces new encounters that resemble prehistoric fish. While unusual creatures are common in this game, the jungle setting suggests these fish may be more dangerous than those found in the main game. Dave also gains access to a new and very convenient tool called the jungle gun. This weapon is unique because it can transform into several types of weapons, including shotguns, sniper rifles, net guns and standard firearms, making it a versatile piece of gear.
Mega fans of Dave the Diver will also be glad to know that there are now complete and collector’s editions. The complete edition is just the physical standard base game plus the DLCs, including In the Jungle. The collectors edition, however, is a little more in-depth and will include the physical base game, a Bancho Sushi Restaurant Acrylic Standee, 4 Metal Pin Badges, an Acrylic Keyring and Dolphin Pendant Necklace, plus 2 Marinca Cards, a poster, and four postcards. Both of those editions are available for pre-order starting today.
Now is the time to hop back on Dave the Diver, whether you’ve already started a save or not; there won’t be a better time to keep diving.
