Delta Force has officially deployed the Season Break update for players on PC and Mobile, adding a new map and the brand new operator, Tempest, to the battlefield.
The next chapter in Team Jade’s take on battlefield warfare has now gone live. Today, Team Jade launched Season Break, the largest content update to date for Delta Force (and that’s considering the campaign expansion, Black Hawk Down), introducing new gameplay features, deep immersive maps, and the debut of a high-mobility Operator, Tempest, across the PC and mobile platforms. On top of that, Team Jade has excitedly announced that Delta Force will be making its way to console platforms as a free-to-play title on August 19, with a new release date trailer that can be seen below.
First off, Team Jade has added two new maps to the Delta Force rotation for both Operation and Warfare game modes. The Operation Map is called Tide Prison, and operatives will have to dive into a high-security island prison operated by the Haavk faction. Players infiltrate the compound disguised as inmates, have to recover their gear mid-mission, and solve multi-layered puzzles to succeed. Tide Prison can be handled solo or with a squad. New mechanics have been added to the Delta Force squad: Swimming, diving, and underwater exploration make their debut, opening up new strategic gameplay elements.
On the other hand, the Warfare Map is called Cyclone, and it is set on a tropical island that may be concealing a deadly ICBM site. Cyclone is a large-scale Delta Force battlefield that supports both intense infantry combat and vehicle warfare. A dynamic weather system in Cyclone has combatants deal with environmental hazards like rain, wind, and storms, hindering player visibility and movement in real time. A new Season Break feature map has been deployed by Team Jade and can be seen below.
The new operator, Tempest, has been added to the roster in the Season Break update, and she storms the battlefield with: A cutting-edge auxiliary spine mobility system, emergency evasion tech for instant repositioning, and a charged drill that disarms enemies in close-quarters standoffs making this a Tempest best deployed on the front lines of a battlefield. Season Break also gives combatants new toys to play with: the high-impact assault rifle and precision compound bow will be added to arsenals, and jet-skis will be available for warfare combatants to travel across water more efficiently.
