As the players master their breathing technique, Sega announces Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Digital Deluxe Edition launches into Advanced Access.
Ahead of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 release on August 5, 2025, Digital Deluxe Edition players will have Advanced Access to the title starting today, returning as Tanjiro Kamado to save his little sister and fight demons. Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Sega, the title covers three major arcs in the Story Mode and features over 40 playable characters in the VS Mode. In addition to the launch of Advanced Access, Sega has given a glimpse of what the competitive players can expect during their monthly PlayStation Tournament.
Set in the Taisho Era of Japan, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 continues Tanjiro’s journey from the Mugen Train Arc in the first Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, covering the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc. In addition to advancing the story, the VS Mode now features Dual Ultimates, Gear, and over 40 playable characters, including nine Hashira, Muzan Kibutsuji as a free post-launch character, and the Infinity Castle Arc Character Pass.
For those looking to kickstart their journey, the Digital Deluxe Edition of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be available for $69.99 USD. Included with the Digital Deluxe Edition are:
- The base game.
- Two Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys – Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui.
- Four Characters Unlock Keys – Tengen Uzui, Obani Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima.
- VS Mode System Voice: Upper Rank Demons Set – Akaza, Daki, Gyutaro, Gyokko, and Zohakuten,

Following the release of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the game will be joining the PlayStation Tournament monthly, starting in August for PS5 players. From what is known so far, PS5 players from across the world compete against each other for a chance to win PlayStation-specific digital items and in-game content.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 launches on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One/Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch on August 5, 2025, with the Digital Deluxe Edition kicking off today. As a side note, Nintendo Switch players will not receive Advanced Access to the title.
