Hope you cleared your calendar. Disney+ will bring many new pieces of content to Canada in August 2025, including King of the Hill, FX’s Alien: Earth, Twelve, and many more.
As many people continue to enjoy the summer heat with a nice scoop of ice cream, Disney+ will be adding plenty of new content to expand its extensive library. Whether you’re interested in the classics or drama films and television shows, there’s plenty of content for viewers, including the premiere of King of the Hill’s 14th season, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox.
With the barrage of content arriving on Disney+ in August 2025, here are some highlights to watch out for.
King of the Hill
After 15 years since the release of King of the Hill’s 13th season, the series returns for its 14th season to catch up on the Hill family’s lives. Returning to Arlen, Texas, after working at a propane job in Saudi Arabia, Hank and Peggy Hill reconnect with their old pals Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Alongside the reunions with their friends, Bobby is living his dream as a Chef in Dallas in his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.
FX’s Alien: Earth
After a mysterious USCSS Maginot crashed on Earth, Wendy and a group of tactical soldiers encountered a powerful beast that threatens their life and their home. Executive produced by Noah Hawley, FX’s Alien: Earth crash-lands on Disney+ on August 12.
The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox
The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is a limited series inspired by the tales of the wrongfully convicted Amanda Knox embarking on a 16-year journey to set herself free and prove her innocence after the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher.
Twelve
Many years ago, 12 zodiac angels fought to protect humanity and sealed the evil spirits in the gates of Hell. As many people live in a peaceful world, the spirits have reawakened, causing havoc worldwide in the upcoming series, Twelve. Facing a threat from O-Gwi (Park Hyung-Sik) and his group of evil spirits, the 12 zodiac angels, led by Tae-San (Ma Dong-Seok), symbolizing the tiger, prepare for an epic battle.
