The fairy dust has settled, and a winner has emerged from Disney Lorcana‘s first World Championship.
Ravensburger held the inaugural event at Walt Disney World over June 28-29, with 28 players invited to participate after qualifying at local events. Attendance was not open to the public, in an attempt to provide “the best VIP experience [players] could possibly have,” but live streams on Twitch allowed over 130, 000 viewers at home to watch the historic proceedings.

Ultimately it was Dinh Khang Pham (“DKP”) from Germany who emerged as the world’s first Disney Lorcana World Champion, after defeating Edmond Chiu in a 5-round showdown. The format was a Triple Deck Challenge, requiring players to win three games each with a different deck, and while Chiu took the lead early, DKP was able to turn the tables and secure the third win with a Amethyst and Steel deck (specifically gaining the last 2 lore he needed with Giant Cobra—Ghostly Serpent).
Aside from the historic prestige of being Disney Lorcana’s first champ, DKP also received a trophy and a one-of-a-kind World Champion 2025 golden promo variant of Mickey Mouse—Brave Little Tailor. (As he shared on social media, this golden card pairs nicely with another extremely rare card he recently obtained: the most desired collector’s item from Magic: The Gathering—Final Fantasy, the serialized 1/77 Gold Chocobo variant of Traveling Chocobo.)
“It was absolutely thrilling to witness DKP’s win with so many Disney Lorcana TCG fans watching live on Twitch,” said Ravensburger’s Elaine Chase, Chief Marketing Officer for TCGs, Elaine Ch. “As a former competitive TCG player, it feeds my soul to see so many competitors vie for the title of World Champion and the one-of-a-kind Golden Mickey Mouse Card.”

“We’re excited to support all kinds of Disney Lorcana TCG play going forward,” said Senior Tournament Manager, Steven Cooper, . “That includes a bunch of events that Ravensburger is supporting that don’t fall into categories such as in-store play or Disney Lorcana Challenge. We want to schedule more events like this all over the world in 2026 and beyond!”
A new era is about to begin for Disney Lorcana competitive or organized play. The arrival of the game’s next set, Fabled, in September will herald the game’s first-ever set rotation, with the first four sets “rotated out” of elgibility.
