2024 is coming to an end, and with it, a year’s worth of entertainment. Disney Plus has had a decent year between big franchises like Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Agatha All Along, as well as some smaller hits like Invisible.
But there’s still a lot of room for improvement in the streaming service’s catalog, and hopefully, that’ll happen in 2025. Even just in January there are some interesting additions to Disney Plus, with a brand-new Goosebumps series, and a couple of big movie drops. Here are the big additions for Disney Plus in January 2025, followed by everything you can expect.
Goosebumps: The Vanishing
The Vanishing is an entirely new live-action. Goosebumps series starting David Schwimmer (Friends), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me), and Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty). Here’s the official description,
“Goosebumps: The Vanishing begins with fraternal twins Devin and Cece adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. A Real Bug’s Life Season 2
This new National Geographic documentary series, narrated by Awkwafina, takes inspiration from the animated film by focusing on the diminutive micro-universe of insects.
Nightbitch
Nightbitch is a fascinating-looking new film starring Amy Adams (Man of Steel, Arrival), where she plays a woman that pauses her career to become a stay-at-home-mom, who suddenly finds out she can transform into a dog at night. Yes, really.
Paradise
Paradise is a political thriller series created by Dan Fogelman (Life Itself, This Is Us), revolving around a wealthy community where a murder occurs. It follows a secret agent who was the last person to see the US President alive, and stars James Marsden (Sonic the Hedgehog), Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction), and Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown).
