Square Enix has opened its pre-registration for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy on iOS and Android devices ahead of its planned 2026 launch. Fans who do will get freebies.
Today’s pre-registration going live is a follow-up to Square Enix’s initial game announcement in October 2025, which revealed Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. At the time, Duellum Final Fantasy was described as a new free-to-play entry in the Dissidia Final Fantasy arena action spin-off series, billed as a three vs. three team boss battle arena where the player is tasked with defeating opposing monsters and a large boss from the Final Fantasy series before their rival team.
This latest title follows the previous entries’ shift from 1v1 battles to 3v3 team battles, and Square Enix has provided the game’s opening cinematic, which can be seen below.
The opening cinematic shows Final Fantasy characters as they’ve not been seen before, in a modernized and peaceful Tokyo-based setting. Their peace is abruptly disturbed when a Behemoth suddenly appears in the Ginza district of Tokyo, forcing the warriors to party up to protect the city. To mark today’s start of the pre-registration period, Square Enix has launched a celebration campaign that includes a login bonus at release. Fans who pre-register can expect daily login bonuses at launch, including 20 Draw Tickets and 3000 MogPay Points. The campaign will also grant 8 background music tracks from previous Dissidia entries and five Character Tickets that can be used to unlock select fighters.
Alongside a fully Japanese-voiced main story (with English subtitles), short episodes offering glimpses into the protagonists’ daily lives will also occur, giving fans a taste of how these beloved characters would function in a modernized IRL setting.
Pre-registration is simple. Fans only have to head to the iOS or Android store page for DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY on their chosen device, and hit the pre-register button (or “Get” on iOS). DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY will be available free-to-play on iOS and Android devices in 2026, and its expected release (according to the App Store) is March 31, 2026.
