Dragon Age: The Veilguard Unleashes a Launch Trailer 7 Days Before Release

With only a week remaining before Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches, BioWare has bestowed an exciting trailer on fans to build hype for the release.

It has been nearly 10 years since Bioware and Electronic Arts unleashed the third title in the massive DA franchise, Inquisition, on fans. The title at the time garnered GOTY award honours for the launch, and fans were left wondering what would happen next, with party member Solas revealing himself as a potential big bad in the world of Thedas as the Elven God known as the Dread Wolf. Thursday, Bioware and EA joined forces for the last time before the next huge launch to show fans an exciting release trailer one week before Dragon Age: The Veilguard fully releases on Halloween. The trailer can be seen below.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes off almost right after the events of Inquisition, party member Solas reveals himself as the Elven Trickster god of legend (Thedas’ version of Marvel’s Loki), who wants to tear down The Veil to restore his people’s immortality and standing in the world. The problem is, if he succeeds Thedas will be overrun by demons, considering The Veil is the only barrier holding the demons from full-on invading the world of Thedas.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – A Decade In The Making

As Rook, fans will have to play a pivotal part in this conflict, fixing the mistake of two formerly imprisoned powerful ancient Elven Gods being released on the world to wreak havoc. It’s up to the newly formed Veilguard to stop the errant Elven Gods and protect The Veil from being torn down.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches everywhere on Halloween, October 31. Fans can catch up with coverage on the latest title in the Dragon Age series by checking out our interview with Art Director Matt Rhodes and Level Design Director Francois Chaput from this September.
