The Roblox Experience Driving Empire has announced that, in collaboration with Koenigsegg, the experience will host the first video game appearance ever of their iconic Sadair’s Spear mega car.

Voldex, the studio behind the Roblox driving experience Driving Empire, is proud to welcome the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear into the game, marking the first time the car has appeared in any video game and will be the first time that fans can experience Koenigsegg’s latest offering in an interactive format. Normally expected of games like Forza, Gran Turismo or Need For Speed, this partnership is no doubt a shock to some.

For those who don’t know, Driving Empire is a Roblox game developed by the previously mentioned Voldex, boasting a staggering 2.5 billion lifetime visits. The gameplay focuses on a vast selection of officially licensed cars built for collecting, driving, and competition, which now includes the Sadair’s Spear.

In real life, the Sadair’s Spear was built as a road-legal, track-focused megacar with only 30 models in existence. Driving Empire aims to re-create this performance powerhouse by designing it with extreme performance, precision aerodynamics, and, according to their statement, a relentless focus on driver experience.

The car’s creator, Koenigsegg Automotive AB, is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance “mega cars” and an automotive technology innovator. They were founded in 1994 by creator Christian von Koenigsegg and are currently based in Ängelholm, Sweden. The company is known for producing limited-production vehicles and has established itself by breaking many records across its 32 year history.

Introduced in March 2020, the Sadair’s Spear quickly sold out of the 30 available models, and that’s not a surprise. The physical car produces 1,625 horsepower and is powered by a 5.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine paired with Koenigsegg’s nine-speed Lightspeed transmission. It has a top speed of 360 kilometres per hour, or 224 miles per hour, and carries a price tag of US$4.4 million. These specifications are expected to be recreated faithfully in Driving Empire.

Voldex, the studio bringing this collaboration to life, is the developer behind many famous game experiences with a three-time Roblox Innovation Award-winning portfolio. Roblox experiences like the aforementioned Driving Empire, along with Brookhaven and NFL Universe Football, are all part of their award-winning titles. Their studio is among the top-grossing developers on Roblox, with a global team of 70+ full-time team members.

Driving Empire is built to celebrate the world’s most exciting performance cars. Being the first video game to feature the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear is a milestone moment for both Voldex and the wider Roblox community,” said Stephen Wanigesekera, senior licensing manager at Voldex.

The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear officially goes live in Driving Empire on the 30th of January 2026 at 1:30 PM US Eastern Time (ET).
