Elden Ring Nightreign Just Got Harder With Limited-Time Everdark Sovereigns

Elden Ring: Nightreign has been out for three weeks, and to mark the occasion, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment have deployed a new update introducing limited-time buffs to Nightlords, known as Everdark Sovereigns.

Even if you have defeated each Nightlord and returned victorious, Elden Ring: Nightreign is about to increase the difficulty. Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring: Nightreign will introduce limited-time enhanced Nightlords for Nightfarers to contend with. These bosses, called Everdark Sovereigns, appear as stronger and more challenging versions of the following Nightlords: Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight. Additional Everdark Sovereigns—Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast and Fissure in the Fog—will be added to Nightreign at a later date.

The new, more challenging Everdark Sovereigns will only be available for Nightfarers to attempt after defeating the regular version of each boss. Each Everdark Sovereign will also only be available for a limited time. A new Everdark Sovereign will arrive in Limveld each week, beginning with Gaping Jaw. Elden Ring: Nightreign’s Gaping Jaw will be available to face until June 26. Nightlords Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight will follow. Everdark Sovereigns will feature remixed move sets and harder-hitting techniques for seasoned Nightfarers to overcome.

The First Everdark Sovereign, an enhanced version of Adel, Baron of the Night (Gaping Jaw) is now available to do battle against. This encounter will be available from June 19 until June 26, and the only two prerequisites are having beaten the base form of each Nightlord, and the player must be connected to the internet to face off against the challenging new threats. FromSoftware has noted fans can tackle Everdark Sovereigns alone, but they must be connected to the internet to do so.
