Elden Ring Nightreign’s Network Test concluded a few weeks ago, and it seems like a heck of a lot of people played it if the numbers are anything to go by.
Bandai Namco has shared a new infographic that goes over some of the more exceptional stats from the test — and yes, that includes something about deaths.
Because Nightreign is a multiplayer game, when you die you’re not immediately done. Instead, you’re downed, and your teammates can attack you to get you back up and into the action. It sure sounds like people got downed a lot, as a total of 23,627,489 attacks were used to save downed players. If you average things out to about five attacks per revival, that would mean somewhere in the ballpark of four to five million downs.
Of course, actually dying means—just like in Elden Ring—you lose all your runes unless you get them back. In the Network Test, a whopping total of 37,957,453,867 runes were lost. Players really weren’t doing their due diligence.
In Nightreign, three players work together to survive the deadly world of Elden Ring for three nights. You need to explore, defeat enemies, acquire new equipment, and level up. At the end of each night, you’ll face a boss. If you survive all the way to the third night, you fight the Nightlord Gladius, Beast of the Night. Surprisingly, that penultimate boss was defeated a total of 58,615 times. But along the way, players piled up a mountain of corpses. Here are the kill numbers.
- Golden Hippopotamus – 194,996
- Flame Chariots – 164,974
- Fire Monk – 150,128
- Flying Dragon of the Hills – 147,202
- Royal Army Knights – 98,738
