Bringing The Best And Brightest On TV

Emmys 2024: Complete List of Award Winners 1

The 76th annual Emmy 2024 Awards, held on September 15, united some of the best TV talent and shows the medium has to offer.

Canada hosted the 76th Emmy Awards this year! Well, not Canada per se, but Canadian father-and-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy took the stage as hosts, delighting audiences with their witty banter and a Schitt’s Creek family reunion. The ceremony’s highlight was the impressive haul of awards by FX’s Shōgun and The Bear. Shōgun made history at the Emmy Awards, setting multiple records. Baby Reindeer also made a notable impact, securing several awards.

Shōgun demonstrated the profound impact of the television medium, earning an astonishing 25 nominations and winning in 18 categories. Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai received accolades for best leads in a drama series, with Sanada becoming the first Japanese actor to win an Emmy.

The 2024 Emmy Awards comedy series category drew attention, with many expecting The Bear to take the win. However, it was Hacks that went home with the award at the end of the night. The Bear still walked away with six awards. Baby Reindeer won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, with its star Richard Gadd earning awards for Outstanding Actor and Outstanding Writing in the category, while Jessica Gunning won Best Supporting Actress.
