EVE Online’s Latest Update Makes Capital Ships Cheaper & Mining More Profitable

Welcome Back To New Eden

EVE Online: Revenant Launches New Update Focusing On Warfare, Industry, And Exploration

As players return to New Eden, CCP Games has announced a major update for EVE Online: Revenant expansion, which will improve Industry, Warfare, and Exploration.

EVE Online’s latest expansion, Revenant, was released on November 12, 2024, focusing on warfare, industry, and player-driven conflict. To improve the capsuleers’ experience in the Revenant expansion, CCP Games has launched an update to shift the balance of power across the galaxy, introduce new opportunities to engage in large-scale battles, expand industrial operations and navigate constantly evolving territorial dynamics.

The biggest change to arrive in EVE Online: Revenant is the improved industry and resource control. Manufacturing capital ships and Tech I battleships will be cheaper and more accessible, allowing capsuleers more fleet deployments and lowering the risk of using hulls in battles.

Nullsec mining operations will also receive a major boost, with existing mining sites providing more ore, a new type of mining site for capital-scale operations and increased availability of crucial resources in nullsec. Combined with a new ORE deep-core strip mining laser, resource extraction for barge and exhumer ship types will be enhanced, giving industrialists a powerful tool to achieve their goals.

Based on feedback from the beta phase, managing planetary colonies is smoother with a new UI improvement, multi-select functionality for schematics and streamlined extractor resets.

The update will also improve Factional Warfare in EVE Online: Revenant. The Battlefield site will reward active participants, and new rewards can be claimed for anti-pirates, increasing the stakes of Pirate Insurgencies.

Alongside these rewards, tactical retreats from the Pochven region will be more challenging, as they require time to activate and leave behind detachable traces for hunters. The increased difficulty adds an extra layer of risk and strategy to travel, whether it presents an opportunity or a threat.

Lastly, the update will balance power in logistics and fleet combat. Nullsec logistics and force projection will incorporate jump gates to increase vulnerability and require more preparation to ambush other players. However, the gates must be manually repaired during long-distance travel. Based on discussions at the latest CSM summit, some ships have received balance adjustments affecting travel, electronic warfare and fleet management.

EVE Online will be launching the new update for Revenant expansion today. Players interested in an adventure in EVE Online can download the game today from their website.
