Believe it or not, the extensive list of comic book creators, novelists, artists, animators and more who will also be attending is longer than all the above lists combined and will include the aforementioned Jim Lee, the illustrious creator Arthur Adams, as well as the esteemed Star Wars author Timothy Zahn, among others. The complete list can be found here.
Of course, in addition to star-gazing and the chance to get up close and personal with one’s favorite film and TV celebs, artists, voice talents and beyond, there will be plenty of attractions, events, activities and merch purchasing opportunities for all attendees to nerd out on over the course of the FAN EXPO Canada’s four day run.
FAN EXPO Canada 2025 Comics

Headlining the events for comic lovers this year is the return of Comics Xplosion, an after-EXPO-hours evening event where comic book creators go head to head to create artwork set to music by a live DJ and commented on by a moderator, after which the work is auctioned off, giving attendees a chance to own a truly unique and potentially valuable piece of art. Sketch Duels are also back again, of course, pitting creators against each other in friendly competition to create a sketch requested by a fan, which can then be won by said fan or another by random lottery.
Naturally, there are also workshops and seminars, comic creator spotlight panels, Kubert School Skills Labs and Portfolio reviews for budding/wanna-be artists, autograph signings, Comic cosplay meetups, Friendiverse Lounge and Artist Alley, all with their own individual activities. You can check them all out HERE.
FAN EXPO Canada 2025 Anime
Fans can meet their favourite anime voice actors and celebrities via panels, autograph signings, and even meet J-Pop Idols Kamen Joshi, Non Sweet and Shun. They can also participate in workshops, games & trivia events, Idolfest raves, and Maid Café experiences powered by Maid Café Mikkusu and Sweet Dreamin’ Maid Café. They can kick back and relax at one of the Expo’s many themed lounges, play games and see performances at Anime HQ/Cosplay HQ, join Cosplay meetups, red carpets and showcases and of course, dance to K-Pop every day of the Expo.
More competitive cosplayers can compete in the Masters of Cosplay 2025 Maple Leaf Qualifier, or they can win Cosplay Hallway Awards just for walking the hallways and Red Carpet. And all attendees can also experience or take part in the Itasha Car Showcase – a “car meet”-inspired showcase where participants show off their cars with custom liveries featuring their favorite anime character or series. All the details can be found HERE.
FAN EXPO Canada Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror
Apart from the already mentioned main feature events, attendees can jump into two live role-playing sessions with celebrities: D&D Live-Play Nights: Legends of Gaming and Roll for Horror: An Evil Dead Venture. The DeLorean from Back to the Future is ready for its close-up with fans, and Harry Potter-inspired activities such as the Sorting Hat Ceremony, potion-making, and slime-making classes are the perfect diversion for the younger visitors that can be found in the Kids’ Zone. There will be numerous family-friendly brand activations, and as one can expect, there will be overlap with Comics, Anime, and Gaming activities and events.
