Wake Up Honey, New Fantastic Four Trailer!

Fantastic Four: First Steps' First Trailer Shows Family Matters

After the first Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer brought fans back to the comic Silver Age, a new trailer released today giving fans a first look at Silver Surfer.

Fans have been excited for the reboot of The Fantastic Four in Fantastic Four: First Steps since the first trailer was released at CinemaCon. Today, Marvel has struck while the iron is hot and revealed the other side of the film, the villains. The trailer does more than that, the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps movie fully incorporates Marvel‘s first family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the franchise’s third reboot. The trailer can be seen below.

The trailer gives fans the first view of Julia Garner’s take on The Silver Surfer (she didn’t appear in the first trailer, but was announced by then). The Silver Surfer is portrayed as Galactus’ harbinger, and instead of the Silver Surfer donning the commonly known iteration of Norrin Radd, First Steps brings the character Shalla-bal on board as the Silver Surfer. Introduced as Norrin Radd’s love interest in Silver Surfer #1, Norrin Radd accepts the role as the Herald of Galactus to save his home world, but the First Steps story may go in a different direction.

The trailer also gives fans a first look at Ralph Ineson’s take on the film’s big bad, Galactus, and his gigantic figure can be seen walking through the streets near the end of the trailer. First Steps stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the titular heroes, with Julia Garner and Ralph Ineson as the film’s villains. The film will explore how the four-member superteam can juggle being a family and being Earth’s protectors at the same time.

Fantastic Four: First Steps lands in theatres on July 25.
