Square Enix has announced that Patch 7.5 for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail will arrive in two parts, with the first part releasing on April 28, 2026, and the second a few months later in Early September.
That gap is slightly longer than the typical patch schedule, but could likely be attributed to Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest happening in the United States and Europe, as well as the studio likely putting in work on the next expansion.
Alongside the release date, the latest Live Letter showed off a ton of details for the patch, officially titled “Trail to the Heavens.” You can watch the full two-hour-long video below, but we’ll sum up the highlights.
On top of the obvious new Main Scenario Quests, 7.5 will add an area called Occult Crescent: North Horn, and a new Crystalline conflict stage called Archeia Harmonias.

Outside of that, one of the biggest additions is the third and final part of the Echoes of Vana’deil Alliance Raid series – Windhurst: The Third Walk (this one is bound to have some incredible music).

A new trial against Enuo will be added, likely via the main story. On top of that, the next Ultimate Raid will arrive at some point in the patch, although Square Enix won’t say what it is quite yet.

The limited job Beastmaster is finally making its way into the game. As the second limited job, this will be sort of similar to Blue Mage. You won’t be able to use Beastmaster in Main Scenario, Trials, Dungeons, etc, but it will have its own set of content and can be used in world exploration. As you might expect, the job revolves around capturing monster, using them in battle, and strengthening them. If you want to see Beastmaster gameplay, skip to 1:53 in the video above.

Finally, there are some pretty massive quality of life updates coming to Final Fantasy XIV as well, including a boost in the limits on furnishings you can place in housing and new Armoire storage options. See the details below.

Stay tuned for full patch notes, or head to the Lodestone for more details.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
