Grand Theft Auto V is getting a first person mode, this was announced today via a trailer. This new mode will be available in the PS4, Xbox One and the PC versions. The game’s Animation Director also noted in a recent interview with IGN that “We could’ve put it in the [last-gen version] but we were too busy making the game…”
It is no secret we at CGMagazine are fans of the GTA franchise, with GTA V being no exception. GTA V was even one of our winners for Game Of The Year in 2013. The question still remains if this sort of addition does anything for the Grand Theft Auto universe. The games have worked exceedingly well at being 3
person experiences. Letting the player enjoy the nonsense that can be found all around the GTA universe while seeing your character and the way they act and dress.
That being said, this could give players a new way to experience the world. It may even allow players that have experienced the world to see it all anew. From the trailer, it does appear to have a fresh take on the way things work. That combined with the graphical upgrade, this will, without a doubt, be the version of the game to own.
