The Spirit Of E3 Lives On With A New Goal

Former E3 Organizer ESA Has Launched iicon, A New Video Game Event

ESA, the former organizer of the popular gaming conference E3, has announced the launch of a new conference, iicon, running from April 27-30, 2026 in Las Vegas.

A year after E3 was announced to be discontinued, ESA unveiled the launch of a new gaming conference called the Interactive Innovative Conference, aka iicon, hosted in Las Vegas from April 27-30, 2026. With the new conference on the rise, iicon has received support from Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Amazon Games, Disney, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, and many more.

With the huge support from major game companies, iicon is mainly focusing on presenting keynotes, networking, and having discussions with each other while participating in workshops, stepping away from new games being announced as the whole idea of the new conference isn’t meant to replace E3. But while doing so, the team has shared their goal to go beyond just being a video game conference, as they would like to include other industries such as entertainment media, music, sports, healthcare, education, finance, and many more.

Launching the new conference iicon, the president and CEO of the ESA, Stanley Pierre-Louis, shared: “For decades, video games have been at the forefront of technology and cultural innovation. With iicon, we are creating a space for visionaries across industries to come together, connect, and reimagine what’s possible through interactive entertainment.”

Alongside discussing and networking with peers in the video game industry, iicon also aims to help other industries tap into the growing market that’s projected to surpass $300 billion in 2026. With that in mind, industries and communities can learn how much potential video games have to offer from inspiration and the positive impact that was made thanks to games and their technology.

With programming and tickets yet to be announced, you can visit the iicon website to learn more about the new conference and sign up to stay up-to-date.
