As Halloween creeps closer, the excitement for the Fortnitemares in-game Fortnite event has reached a boiling point, so Epic Games posted teasers to continue the hype train.
The annual Fortnite Halloween celebration, Fortnitemares, is right around the corner, so Epic Games thought they would take the rumours to their boiling point by releasing three separate teaser images in preparation. Before today, there has been rampant speculation on public forums on what crossovers will be added to Fortnite for the event. With the three teaser images released by Epic Games on Reddit, that speculation may have gotten a whole lot easier.
In one image, the Scream franchise’s titular killer, Ghostface, can be seen striking terror into Peely’s eyes off the reflection of his knife. The other two images that also resemble B-movie horror style movie posters, one featuring Scooby-Doo and the other featuring R.E.P.O. can be seen below.
Although these images were posted by Epic Games themselves, the developers have left how extensive the collaboration is up in the air. Will Battle Royale contestants be able to drive the Mystery Machine, and will there be outfits available for all favourite characters? Fans are left in the dark still, but what we do know, is Scooby-Doo is coming to Fortnite in one way or another for Fortnitemares 2025.
The build-up to Fortnitemares 2025 has already seen the return of beloved horror-themed outfits to the Item Shop, including Evil Dead‘s Ash Williams, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘s Leatherface, and yet there’s still more expected to be revealed as part of the massive horror celebration, like a Terrifier (with Art the Clown) collaboration. Normally Fortnite rewards players who play during the Fortnitemares events exclusive cosmetics, but it still remains to be seen on what the event will ultimately look like when Fortnite spills all of the beans.
Fortnitemares 2025 is expected to drop on Thursday, October 9, so fans will just have to stave off excitement (and potential zombie attacks) until then.
