Fortnite just had their v4.5 content update, the game is now live with new weapons, heroes, and items.
Fortnite Battle Royale gets the Drum Gun, which is a hybrid weapon with the stopping power of a rifle and the fire rate of an SMG. This weapon can be either Uncommon or Rare, has 26/27 base damage, 50 round capacity, and uses Medium Ammo. It is found as floor loot, in chests, and in Vending Machines.
Meanwhile, Fortnite Save the World gets the Stink Bomb, Freedom Herald Pistol, and the new Star and Stripes heroes in the Event Store. When thrown the Stink Bomb unleashed a toxic cloud that damages opponents over time, while the Freedom Herald Pistol launches firecrackers that bounce off walls. When they explode, they can even knockback and damage enemies in a small radius. This weapon will be available on July 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
Another weapon, the Lynx Assault Rifle has also been added to Fortnite. It’s available in the Weekly Store. The weapon is a slow firing burst assault rifle, and has above average headshot damage along with excellent stability.
Over at the Event Store are Stars and Stripes Penny and Stars and Stripes A.C., who are also available on July 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
