The Future Games Show at gamescom 2025: Everything Announced!

As gamescom 2025 marches on, the next big showcase after Opening Night Live is the Future Games Show, and here are all of the big reveals and trailers.

The biggest gaming event of the year kicked off yesterday with the gamescom ONL 2025 showcase. As fast as gamescom 2025 entered the scene with Opening Night Live 2025, reveals and showcases have followed and are currently dominating the internet, giving players a good look at what’s to come for the next year in gaming and beyond.

Outside of the already exciting announcements of Kirby Air Riders Nintendo Direct, and fresh looks being shown of World of Warcraft: Midnight alongside Resident Evil: Requiem, there’s a reason for gamers of all genres to be excited. Gamescom ONL 2025 has brought the goods in the form of many trailers, and today’s Future Games Show 2025 is no different. Hell Let Loose Vietnam

The Future Games Show jumped straight into things with a world premiere for the upcoming FPS, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and it’s coming to Xbox, PlayStation and PC in 2026.

Edge of Memories

Next up was a fresh look at the Edge of Memories JRPG. More combat gameplay has been shown in the latest trailer, and Edge of Memories has been confirmed to launch sometime in 2026.

Den of Wolves

The next extraction-based FPS title, Den of Wolves, revealed a new trailer from 10 Chambers, giving fans a new look at the sci-fi extraction shooter.

Skate

Full Circle then let fans behind the curtain at the Future Games Show, to take a look at what fans have been calling Skate 4, but what is called just Skate. The developers have revealed that skaters can extend tricks by holding down the trick button. This way, a 360-flip can morph into a 1080-flip if you have enough air. The next Skate title will also include new traversal options and allow skaters to swing from bars to get around the map and much more.

Skate is launching into early access later in 2025.

1348 Ex Voto

The next title unveiled at the Future Games Show is a title steeped in medieval art and weaponry. Players will embody a swordsperson in 14th-century Italy, when 1348 Ex Voto launches sometime in 2026.

Resident Evil: Requiem

Masato Kumazawa, the producer of Resident Evil: Requiem, then took over the stream to let players know what’s coming with the ninth installment of the blood-chilling Resident Evil series. Requiem will let players alternate between third and first-person perspectives to allow players a way to experience the next title from their preferred perspective. Grace Ashcroft is a fearful character, and as a first for the series, she won’t be heroic like Leon Kennedy or Chris Redfield; her fear will be a notable mechanic, forcing the player to stumble down hallways loaded with unknown horrors.

Nikke: Goddess of Victory x Resident Evil

A new trailer for Nikke: Goddess of Victory was teased, and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil will be joining the roster in a spooky new collaboration.

Hell Is Us

The Future Games Show then gave fans a new look at Hell Is Us, the next title in the works from Rogue Factor. Players will have to confront a brutal world when Hell Is Us launches for Xbox, PlayStation and PC on December 4th.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

The dark fantasy ARPG is an open-world title where players will embody a Dawnwalker. A Dawnwalker is a human during the daytime, but turns into a blood-hunting vampiric monster at night. As a vampire, you can teleport short distances, walk on walls and fight enemies with your claws. Players will have to save their family from the threat of another Vampire Lord within a 30-day period; otherwise, it is game over. Set in 14th-century medieval Southeast Europe, players can become the Dawnwalker when The Blood of the Dawnwalker launches sometime in 2026.

Deer & Boy

Deer & Boy is a puzzle platforming title where both the Deer and the Boy will have to work together to move through the setting. As the game’s narrative marches forth, the Deer will noticeably grow up, and puzzles will become more intricate, as the Deer is shown to have powers like glowing antlers to light the way. Deer & Boy launches sometime in 2026.

DarkSwitch

The next RTS, tower defence, civilization-like title, has been shown at the Future Games Show, and fans will have to fight back threats to their community and defend their world against the dark when DarkSwitch launches at an TBD date. The demo is playable now!

Lost Rift

A FPS co-op survival title, Lost Rift was shown next, and it embodies everything Obsidian’s Grounded sets out to do, but with adults (that aren’t ant-sized), guns and a slew of other threats. Early access starts on September 25.

EverSiege Untold Ages

The next roguelike character-building title has been shown. A top-down action strategy roguelite where you develop tactics and cooperate with your friends to break the titular EverSiege awaits, and players can wishlist it now.

Monsters are Coming! Rock and Road

Monsters are Coming! Rock and Road is a genre-bending roguelite, where you defend and develop a mobile tower from relentless hordes of enemies. It’s coming to PC later this year, and a demo will be made available for Steam soon.

Dreams of Another

Revealed half a year ago, Dreams of Another is an indie title that explores the transience of dreams. With the tagline “humans can’t choose what they remember, or what they forget,” Dreams of Another explores beauty and freedom from a new perspective. This is a third-person exploration-action game built around the philosophical theme: “No Creation Without Destruction.” Dreams of Another launches on October 10.

13Z: The Zodiac Trials

The Zodiac Trials are a series of challenges meant for players to go through en route of becoming the thirteenth Zodiac sign in 13Z. Mixed Realms’ 13Z: The Zodiac Trials pits players against many challenges on the road to becoming immortalized as a sign.

Pizza Bandit

The next title revealed at the Future Games Show is a saucy third-person shooter with a co-operative element, where players hunt bounties while perfecting the art of pizza-making that imagines an aspiring pizza chef as a gun-toting restaurateur who’s getting back to business.

Steam’s early access starts on August 25.

Recur

As a time-bending postman, if you move to the right of the screen, time moves forward, but if you move to the left of the 2.5D screen, time rewinds. This novel puzzle title challenges players to think while rewriting time for a better future.

Recur is coming to PC in 2026.

Servant of the Lake

The next world premiere revealed at the Future Games Show, is an indie puzzle game from Rusty Lake, and the picturesque title asks players to solve the mystery of the lake house in Servant of the Lake.

Hyperlight Breaker

The developers at Heart Machine shadowdropped a new update for Hyper Light Breaker during the Future Games Show at gamescom. The Double Down update expands the studio’s open-world procedural roguelite, and it can be checked out now on Steam.

BPM: Bitcrushed

A pixelated top-down title from the makers of BPM comes another roguelike shooting title that asks players to shoot, jump, and blast their way through enemies to the beat. BPM: Bitcrushed is a pixellated roguelite rhythm shooter where you can battle to the beat of your own imported music, and it’s coming to PC and consoles in 2026.

Hotel Barcelona

The next title from Suda51 is a roguelike slasher arcade title that promises a punishingly high difficulty. Hotel Barcelona asks players to defeat the rest of the serial killer ensemble as Justine, and each death puts you back at the start.  

Hotel Barcelona launches on September 26, 2025.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

An open-world RPG based on The Seven Deadly Sins anime brings the narrative back to the beginning in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, shown at the Future Games Show at gamescom 2025. Fans will be able to step into the shoes of their favourite characters when it launches later this year.

Cronos: The New Dawn

Another fresh look was given to the survival horror title coming from Bloober Team later in the year, Cronos: The New Dawn. Fans will have to uncover the mystery behind the disease that brought mankind to extinction as the Traveller. Players will be able to use many tools and weapons to kill abominations that populate the landscape. Finally, fans will also be able to pet multiple cats when Cronos: The New Dawn launches on September 5.

Tormented Souls 2

The latest trailer for Tormented Souls 2 was then revealed at the Future Games Show, giving fans a new look at the title inspired by older Resident Evil titles. Tormented Souls 2 comes complete with cinematic camera angles, complex puzzles and terrifying beasts. Tormented Souls 2 launches October 23.

Gods, Death & Reapers

The next world premiere showcased an ARPG with extraction mechanics, as players will need to play a Reaper on their way through a tough initiation. The gods have fallen, and it’s up to you to let the denizens know their time is up. Players can fight each other over spoils, and you must extract safely to keep the loot you snag. Players can sign up for the playtest now.

Styx: Blades of Greed

Everyone’s favourite goblin assassin, Styx, returns in an all-new installment loaded with espionage, murder and highly sought quartz. Styx returns later in 2025.

Anno 117: Pax Romana

The next government civilization simulator, Anno 117: Pax Romana, was shown next, showcasing its reliance on Celtic culture and mythology. You can behave like a Roman and build riches and bathhouses, or you can be a sympathetic ruler to the masses; the choice is yours. Communities can be built, and attacks can be defended against, when Anno 117: Pax Romana launches on November 13.

The next title from Anna Purna Interactive features bounty hunting with mech suits. Dinogod’s mech western, Bounty Star, revealed that the game is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox on October 23rd

Players can choose their guardian and protect the Sacred Tree in this mystical roguelike that puts players back at the beginning after each failed run through the crucible of evil. Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree launches on September 19.

The release date trailer has been revealed for Shape of Dreams, and it will launch on September 11, 2025.

Reach

A VR title shown at the Future Games Showcase is Reach, a title that sees players use powerful gauntlets to traverse the cavernous. Players can shoot bows, swing with grappling hooks, and blast their way through an ever-changing dream world when Reach launches on October 16.

Little Nightmares III

The upcoming threequel for the jarring Little Nightmares series was then given a fresh look with develper commentary, showing players what they will run into when they explore the Carneval level in the co-op-enabled Little Nightmares III. The new look at Little Nightmares III showcases intuitive level design, letting the small heroes solve puzzles to escape the gaze of the numerous monstrousities that litter the landscape.

Lost Hellden

A new JRPG from Artisan Studios was then given a first look, and it includes a development all-star team, with the composer of Final Fantasy XII (Hitoshi Sakimoto) and the Gravity Rush Illustrator (Takeshi Oga), and a story-rich JRPG with a unique hand-painted art style. The gameplay trailer invites viewers into its spellbinding world. This JRPG features combat reminiscent of the Tales Series, and more information will be revealed soon after the Future Games Show, and gamescom 2025 concludes.

Players will embark on a mysterious roguelike deckbuilding journey in this title that puts players on an adventure with their chosen Anima. Serial World is a roguelike deckbuilder where you collect and wield the powers of adorable creatures and build their way to the top while freeing other Anima creatures! Serial World launches sometime in 2026.

Active Matter

The next FPS extraction shooter was then revealed, and it features high octane bloody gameplay, filled with tentacle equipped monsters and a dystopian landscape. The next entry into the extraction shooting genre, Active Matter, launches at a TBD date soon.

Pragmata

The next title from CAPCOM, is a sci-fi space station adventure that lets dreams become reality with new technology. After a lunar quake separates Hugh from his team, you will have to step into the shoes of the small girl-shaped android and human duo, and solve puzzles while defeating adversaries throughout your adventure. Both protagonists must work together to succeed in combat, allowing Diana (the android robot girl) to hack enemies and Hugh (the adult human) to shoot them with devastating synergies.

Pragmata will launch sometime in 2026.

For the final announcement at the Future Games Show, a world premiere of Illfonic’s next horror title was shown, revealing John Carpenter’s Halloween. The boogeyman returns in Halloween is a single-player and multiplayer experience based on the 1978 film of the same name. Halloween will arrive in 2026.
