Taking a sneak peek at upcoming projects, Game Con Canada held its first GCC Studio Showcase featuring Devolver Digital, Bloober Team, and more.
Returning for its third year, Game Con Canada runs from June 13 to 15, providing a place for gamers to enjoy video and board games, cosplay, attend workshops, and meet special guests. On the expo’s first day, with CGMagazine’s Dayna Eileen as part of the panel, Game Con Canada hosted its first annual GCC Studio Showcase, offering an exclusive sneak peek and highlights of titles from Focus Entertainment, tinyBuild, Devolver Digital, and Bloober Team.

The first GCC Studio Showcase was held on the Intel Gaming Mega Stage, presenting upcoming titles from four renowned studios, with Hollywood celebrities, influencers, and developers. For those who missed out or like a recap, here is a list of studios that joined the Game Con Canada Studio Showcase to present their games:
tinyBuild – Sand & Kingmakers

Kicking off the GCC Studio Showcase, tinyBuild presented two upcoming games. The first was Sand, an open-world PvPvE extraction shooter developed by Hologryph and Towerhaus and published by tinyBuild. Following the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s colonization of space in 1910, players traverse the dangerous planet Sophie on giant walkers called Tramplers. To survive, players must build and upgrade their Tramplers, battle other players and creatures, and explore to gather valuable resources. Sand launches in 2025, with a wishlist available now on Steam.
The second game presented was Kingmakers, developed by Redemption Road Games and published by tinyBuild. As elite operatives, players travel back to 15th-century England to change history and prevent a future apocalypse — either alone or with up to three friends. Bearing the world’s fate on their shoulders, players use a variety of military weapons and vehicles to take on AI-controlled medieval armies, while strategizing against different unit types. Kingmakers Early Access launches on Steam on Oct. 8, 2025.
Focus Entertainment – Void Crew

Developed by Hutihut Games and published by Focus Entertainment, Void Crew is a co-op roguelite game set on a spaceship. Played alone or with up to six friends, players take on various roles on the customizable spaceship, complete missions, and fight hostile aliens and space pirates who push your untrained crew to the limit. Alongside dealing with dangers, take time to upgrade your ship and customize your characters. Released on Steam in November 2024, Focus Entertainment attended the GCC Studio Showcase to highlight the game and host a Void Crew giveaway.
Devolver Digital – Mycopunk

Developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital, the publishing team showcased a co-op first-person shooter, Mycopunk. Entering the game alone or with friends, players join the Atlas Hazard Crew, a group of robots on a quest to eliminate fungal infection from the galaxy. During the quest, players can choose and upgrade various weapons, create unique builds, and hang out in the orbital dropship filled with toys and games. Mycopunk is coming soon, with a demo available now on Steam.
Bloober Team – Cronos: A New Dawn

From the developers of Silent Hill 2 (2024), Bloober Team has revealed details about their upcoming third-person sci-fi survival horror game, Cronos: A New Dawn. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, players take on a mission to save the future by preserving the past, locating and harvesting the essence of those killed during the apocalypse. Although it won’t be easy, players must manage resources, explore the New Dawn district, fight creatures, and contend with the haunting of essences trapped in their suit. Cronos: A New Dawn launches in fall 2025 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
From June 12 – 16, 2025, Game Con Canada Powered by TELUS will have a Steam page throughout the expo, highlighting games presented at the GCC Studio Showcase. On top of the games listed, the store page has highlighted RoadCraft, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate – Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam DLC, and many more.
That’s about every game presented at the GCC Studio Showcase from the studios that joined the fun. Gamers can visit the Game Con Canada website to learn more about the expo and anticipate next year if they missed out this year.
