Gamescom Announces 2022 Award Nominees Ahead of Opening Night Live

Gamescom has announced their nominees for 2022 as the industry gears up for the giant convention this week with gamescom Opening Night Live happening tomorrow.

A panel of judges compiled of experts in the games’ industry got together this month ahead of gamescom 2022 to make their nominations. Judges included Dean Takahashi from gamesbeat, Matt Gardner from Forbes, Davide Mancini from IGN Italy and our very own Brendan Frye, EIC for CGMagazine.

“The winners of the gamescom goes green award as well as the following platform categories will be announced during gamescom: Opening Night Live on August 23 from 8 pm” (GMT+2).

  • In the Best Lineup category, the jury will pick a winner out of all gamescom exhibitors.
