Although gamescom is very much like Summer Game Fest, the event held annually in Cologne, Germany, allows industry professionals and the general public to bump elbows while stealing looks at the latest games coming to consoles, PC, and beyond for the remainder of 2025 (and 2026).
gamescom is co-organized by the German Games Industry Association and Koelnmesse, and the event attracts over 335,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from 72 countries. This isn’t even counting the viewers at home using digital platforms. gamescom 2025 looks very different than its first event in 2009, evolving past ‘just games’ to an event that features many facets of media, with various community areas for Netflix, Disney+ and more.
