On Wednesday, HoYoverse officially launched the popular ongoing Genshin Impact RPG on the Xbox platform, with all the previous updates including Version 5.2.
Attention all Travellers of Teyvat: Genshin Impact is officially available on the Xbox ecosystem of consoles. On Wednesday, the hit HoYoverse title, which has over 200 million downloads (and counting), became available for Xbox users for the first time. That’s not all—players looking to dive into Teyvat for the first time won’t be left out, as all previous updates released for Genshin Impact, including the latest Version 5.2, Tapestry of Spirit and Flame, launched along with it. The latest trailer for the new Version 5.2 update can be seen below.
HoYoverse release, players can receive recurring bonuses with each major version update (starting with Version 5.2). Travellers who reach Adventure Rank 2 will receive the Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined as a gift item in their in-game mailbox upon logging in. The launch of Genshin Impact on Xbox, alongside Version 5.2, will include the following rewards (fans should note rewards will change with each version release):
- Intertwined Fate × 2,
- Northlander Billet Trove × 1
- Hero’s Wit × 10
- Mora × 100,000
- Mystic Enhancement Ore × 15
Wait, so you’ve started Genshin Impact on another platform and want to link your save? Have no fear—fans can pick up right where they left off on other platforms (including PS5) by account linking. Fans can now start an adventure on their Xbox Series X without a download by using Xbox Cloud for Genshin Impact, then pick up right where they left off on a portable device. Existing fans can link accounts and progress obtained on other platforms by simply following the steps in the pop-up window that appears upon logging in to link the email account registered for a HoYoverse account.
CAUTION: this window appears only once, and after you agree to the Terms of Service, if this is not done here you CANNOT link the associated Microsoft Account any longer, a HoYoverse account will be made right then and there.
To link accounts for new players, fans must log into the game on Xbox, then go to Settings > Account > User Center > Link Account to link your Microsoft Account that is logged in to Genshin Impact. Fans should note they have to link to an email account that has not registered for a HoYoverse Account if Xbox is the first platform they’ve played on.
