Information on Genshin Impact‘s upcoming version 5.8 has been revealed via live stream, and Natlan’s send off gets a Sunspray Summer Resort and the first character from Nod-Krai.
The latest Genshin Impact special program live stream revealed new details about the upcoming version 5.8 update, and fans will be happy to know it introduces the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a new island area that delivers a “permanent endless summer” vibe. HoYoverse also provided a sneak peek at the first five-star recruit from Nod-Krai, Ineffa, along with new character outfits for Yelan and Bennett.
While version 5.8 appears to mark the send-off for the Natlan region, the special program also offered new information about the upcoming Nod-Krai region. The official version 5.8 Sunspray Summer Resort trailer can be seen below.
While detailing the new region, Genshin Impact also introduced Lauma, a Dendro character tied to the Frostmoon Scions, which players have already begun to speculate will play a major role in the new region and will likely be featured on the Version 6.0 banner. Nod-Krai is located in the southernmost part of Snezhnaya and is considered an autonomous region, with no allegiances to Snezhnaya. - The Easybreeze Holiday Resort area in Natlan introduces four distinct zones, and Travelers can harness the resort mascot Asha’s abilities to explore and discover even more fun.
- The new 5-star character, Ineffa, deploys her Electro polearm with a shocking Lunar-Charged reaction, and she serves as the first character from Nod-Krai.
- A new Archon Quest titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Prelude – The Journey Home” unveils Ineffa’s origins.
- Two new character skins – Yelan and Bennett receive new outfits and while Bennett’s is free, Yelan’s is available at a discount in the shop for a limited time.
- New boss fight Bakunawa now awaits challengers in Mare Jivari.
Genshin Impact version 5.8 is expected to release on July 30, and fans can view the entire special program presentation on the official HoYoverse YouTube channel.
