Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2 Anime Returns April 2025 1

A new teaser and visual poster for Go! Go! Loser Ranger! season 2 reveals April 2025 release window for the Power Rangers-inspired action-dramedy series.

The Power Rangersinspired anime series is eyeing a return to TV coming out next spring. Go! Go! Loser Ranger! season 2 just received a new visual poster and teaser trailer on their X account and website. The rise of Fighter D and his climb to take down the Ranger Force does not stop, as the second season has a release window of April 2025. This is one of the Disney+ anime series that should not be slept on, especially for those who love satire on the whole destiny of the Power Rangers (originally called Super Sentai in Japan).

Based on the manga by Negi Haruba, Keiichi Sato (Tiger & Bunny) directs Go! Go! Loser Ranger! at studio Yostar Pictures, with series composition by Keiichiro Ochi (UNDER NINJA), character designs by Kahoko Koseki and music by Yoshihiro Ike (Akiba Maid War). The final episode of season 1 aired a few months ago, back in June, and already announced they would be greenlit for a second season for a general 2025 release.

This week featured a great update with a visual poster and teaser trailer for the upcoming season. The visual poster reads: “Listen to the sound of justice crumbling,” when translated from Japanese to English. The official X post added that broadcasting will begin “in April 2025 on the CBC/TBS network’s 28 stations nationwide (across Japan) in the NetAgaru anime slot (Sundays at 11:30pm).”

As for the teaser trailer, it did not reveal too much. For a 17-second clip, it only opened more questions because there were numerous new faces. It looked like they were other lower-tiered soldiers from the Ranger Force HQ. But, it looks like these new faces will be shaking things up due to the big ramifications of the events that occurred at the end of season 1.

If you have not been checking out Go! Go! Loser Ranger!, it is one of the anime series that has been slept on or not been more widely talked about. But it should be, especially if you were a 90s kid who grew up on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Even though you did not watch those young adult actors play teenagers destined to defend Earth from alien creatures, it is still worth it. It plays to similar tropes of The Boys or Invincible where the heroes may not be all good as they appear to be in the public eye.

Strangely enough, this show also tackles some concepts from The Hunger Games like the idea that people will revolt against the norms when injustice is televised. While the monsters aka Dusters agreed to do the televised portion every week, it can be morally degrading to them. This is why one of the Dusters, Fighter D, chooses to infiltrate the Ranger Force HQ. He hopes that by doing so, he could show the world that Dusters are strong and do not need to be the weak villains-of-the-week anymore.

Here is the synopsis of Go! Go! Loser Ranger! provided by Crunchyroll:

“What if the 13-year-long battle for survival that had been ongoing between the monsters and the Ranger Force was actually a farce all along? With their old hideout and bosses wiped out, the surviving Dusters make a secret agreement with the Ranger Force to engage in the weekly Sunday Showdown—one where they will always be defeated. Tired of this charade, Fighter D finally steps up to make a change once and for all!”
