This is quite the biggest month for many gamers, with the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon and plenty of games waiting to be announced across many Summer Game Showcases. Summer Game Fest – June 6, 2025
Launched in 2020 by Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards), the Summer Game Fest unites the entire video game industry to share their upcoming projects and news with the fanbase. Returning for its 5th year, the showcase is going all out with 60+ partners joining in the fun, including Sega, PlayStation, Blumhouse Games, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Square Enix, and many more.
Kicking off on June 6th at 2:00 pm PT/ 5:00 pm EST, the Summer Game Fest will be held at YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles and broadcast across 20 digital video platforms, notably YouTube, Twitch, X, TikTok, and Steam.
Day of the Devs 2025: Summer Game Fest Edition – June 6, 2025
Established in 2012 by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, the Day of the Devs returns to present upcoming indie games from aspiring talents. Recently, the Day of the Devs team has announced they are officially a non-profit organization, relying on donations from the fanbase and sponsorship from Boneloaf, PlayStation, Devolver Digital, Summer Game Fest, ID@Xbox, and more to continue shedding light on upcoming indie games and developers.
Day of the Devs 2025: Summer Game Fest Edition will broadcast on The Game Awards Twitch channel on June 6 at 4:00 PM PT/ 7:00 PM EST.
BALL X PIT Showcase – June 6, 2025
This year’s “special” edition of the Devolver Direct for the Summer Game Fest showcases is focused on one new game, BALL X PIT: The Kenny Sun Story.
Tune into Devolver Direct on Twitch or YouTube at 5PM Pacific (8PM Eastern).
Wholesome Direct – June 7, 2025
Marking Wholesome Direct’s fifth anniversary, the showcase returns stronger than ever, featuring over 60 upcoming games from independent studios and renowned indie publishers. This year, Wholesome Games will donate merchandise proceeds to Point of Pride, a non-profit organization committed to supporting and saving trans lives through access to gender-affirming care.
Wholesome Direct will broadcast on Wholesome Games’ YouTube and Twitch channels on June 7 at 9:00 AM PT/ 12:00 PM EST.
Future Games Show: Summer Showcase – June 7, 2025
The Future Games Show: Summer Showcase will present world premieres, demos, interviews with developers, and upcoming games from indie to triple-A studios that gamers can anticipate. Alongside the exciting gaming news, the showcase will be hosted by Laura Bailey (Abby Anderson, The Last of Us Part II) and Matthew Mercer (Vincent Valentine, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth).
The Future Games Show: Summer Showcase will be live on June 7 at 1:00 PM PT/ 4:00 PM ET on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, and the GameRadar website for those eager about what games will be revealed.
Xbox Games Showcase + The Outer Worlds 2 Direct – June 8, 2025
Continuing Microsoft’s summer tradition, the Xbox Games Showcase will return to highlight exciting projects across its first-party studios, with third-party partners joining the fun. Following the Xbox Games Showcase, stick around for The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, an insight into new gameplay footage and developer commentary from Obsidian Entertainment.
The Xbox Games Showcase will kick off on June 8 at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM EST, with The Outer Worlds 2 Direct following right after on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
PC Gaming Show – June 8, 2025
Dedicated to PC gamers, the PC Gaming Show will highlight over 50 games arriving on PC, Steam Deck, Linux, and macOS. Hosted by Frankie Ward, Sean (Day9) Plott, and Mica Burton, gamers can anticipate world premieres, exclusive announcements, developers interview, and much more.
The PC Gaming Show will air on June 8 at 12:00 PM PT/ 3 PM EST on Twitch, YouTube, X, and Steam.
