iam8bit, the creator of many video game swag items from across the industry, has pulled back the curtain on their next LP, and it features Metaphor: ReFantazio‘s soundtrack.
iam8bit has done it again, they’ve released yet another ATLUS-published game‘s soundtrack on a limited edition vinyl record release. Continuing the quality put forth by previous releases—iam8bit has releassed the soundtracks of Persona 3 and Persona 4 on vinyl—fans of vinyl and Metaphor: ReFantazio might not want to miss this limited-time release. The vinyl release and everything included can be seen below courtesy of iam8bit.

The Metaphor: ReFantazio 4xLP features the stellar soundtrack from the base game, and the vinyl comes pressed on a character-inspired Iris Burst Vinyl, with each disc featuring a different colour to represent the heroes of the game’s cast. iam8bit has previously worked on vinyl soundtracks for ATLUS and other game developers. They have crafted some of the most memorable vinyl designs in recent releases.
iam8bit has previously released a SuperGiant Games’ Hades soundtrack, alongside more niche games like the SNES’ Sunset Riders, and more popular games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, all on vinyl that offer new designs on the records themselves, leaning into the video game inspirations.
Metaphor: ReFantazio‘s soundtrack is composed by Shoji Meguro, who worked on the Persona series’ soundtracks. iam8bit pulled out all the stops on the packaging of the 4xLP, as they’ve recruited longtime iam8bit artisan, Drew Wise, for the album artwork, providing a full-on Metaphor-inspired experience.

The Metaphor: ReFantazio soundtrack features many different musical inspirations, from Gregorian-chant-laced tunes during tense scenes, to the happy-town music that infiltrates every RPG. The Metaphor: ReFantazio 4xLP will launch in Q4 2025, featuring ALL of the music that can be heard in-game, like previous iam8bit vinyl releases.
Metaphor: ReFantazio‘s 4xLP is up for preorder on the iam8bit’s website, and pre-orders will close out on May 27. Fans can check out the official iam8bit site for other information or other music.
