Incredibles 3 Release Date Set for June 2028

Pixar has announced on its official X account that The Incredibles 3 will premiere in theatres on June 16th, 2026.

Originally announced at D23 in 2024, we did not have a release date until now, which means we will see the Parrs back in action again in just two years. After the release of the first movie, fans had to wait a full 14 years before the sequel to the iconic The Incredibles came out in 2018. Instead of the original series director, Brad Bird, the director of Elemental, Peter Sohn, will be stepping in, which feels like a bad omen until you find out that Bird himself wrote the screenplay.

The Incredibles 2 Review 1

When The Incredibles 3 airs in theatres, it will be 10 years since the second movie was released, which, to be fair, is a shorter amount of time than the first go around. They are even using the logo convention previously used to indicate the second movie in a similar vein here, with there now being three pillars in the “I” instead of two.

The Incredibles 3 will have to compete with some other highly anticipated major motion pictures that year as well, even some within the same timeframe or release. DC’s animated movie, Dynamic Duo, will follow the Incredibles 3 premiere, but it will have to wait two weekends to do so. Lilo & Stitch 2 will also premiere on Labour Day of that year, plus there’s also the as-of-yet untitled new addition to The Mummy coming on May 19th and the Hello Kitty Movie coming on July 21st.

With Disney’s heavy investment in at least two movies that we know of for 2028, it looks like they are going full force into giving us more new content from old IP’s. The summer months of 2028 are looking to be packed full of great movies for anyone to look forward to, so make sure to mark your calendar in advance.
