Warframe Returns To Duviri In Isleweaver Update this June

This past weekend at PAX East, Digital Extremes revealed Isleweaver, the next narrative chapter in Warframe after the wildly successful 1999 saga—and it’s coming sooner than you might think, Tenno.

Though the new update will move away from the now-familiar streets of Höllvania, players will be exploring a new side of another infamous location: Duviri. After completing 1999, players can embark on the new Isleweaver questline within the Duviri Spiral, playable exclusively in Warframe form. It seems Major Neci Rusalka, once a thorn in the Hex’s side, has somehow usurped Dominus Thrax’s throne; as punishment for the player having taken Höllvania from her, she now seeks to take Duviri from them in revenge.

A new Clan Operation, Eight Claw, will launch alongside Isleweaver as a time-limited event (though the node will persist on the map afterward). Among the rewards are new cosmetics, a new secret weapon, and farmable pathos clamps. Thrax will serve as the event vendor, accessed from the Dormizone.

For players who aren’t caught up on the main questline, Digital Extremes is hard at work on a “Golden Path” rework to streamline the process from account creation to 1999. While content is not being removed, this reworked path will make the Warframe experience more welcoming for new players, and help them catch up with exciting developments like Isleweaver without sacrificing the narrative journey along the way. Similarly, the onboarding experience for the Railjack will help players dip a toe in without being summarily destroyed.

The Isleweaver update will arrive in June and introduce the game’s 61st Warframe, Oraxia—finally granting the community’s wish for a spider-themed frame. While it remains to be seen how Oraxia will fit into this new chapter of Duviri, her isolation there has driven her mad, unable to discern between friend and foe. She has a melee whip weapon, while her arachnid powers include trapping enemies in webs, siphoning health from them, calling minions, and climbing along walls.

(“If everything goes to plan, which it might not, you will be able to climb on walls during one of her moves, like a spider,” said Creative Director Rebecca Ford during the live Devstream.)

Before Isleweaver, Yareli Prime access will begin next week on May 21. Players can purchase or unlock this elite Warframe along with her Daikyu Prime bow and Kompressa Prime pistol. The wave rider has a bit of a sea dragon vibe in her Prime form, and will also be joined by a new “Apostate” look for Kullervo. Then, later this summer, Valkyr will receive an extensive rework and Heirloom skin on July 21, right after TennoCon 2025.

Digital Extremes also showed an exciting new trailer for Soulframe, their new high fantasy experience currently in pre-alpha. More will be shown on both games at the studio’s annual event, TennoCon, this July, and we can’t wait to see even more on this promising new title.

Warframe is available for free on all platforms now, while PC players can register for and invite to Soulframe‘s pre-alpha testing on its official website.
