KPop Demon Hunters' HUNTR/X Perform Live After Going Platinum

The fictional band HUNTR/X from the acclaimed film KPop Demon Hunters have been receiving incredible amounts of praise, and it’s starting to spill into the real world.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Ejae, who voices Rumi; Audrey Nuna, who plays Mira; and Rei Ami, the voice of Zoey, were informed by Fallon that the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack had gone Platinum. This was yet another milestone as the film’s signature song “Golden” ranked No.1 for five consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100—the longest running No. 1 song by an animated act in the chart’s history.

The Trio also teamed up for a live performance of “Golden,” marking their second live performance as a fictional group. The first was during an episode of Saturday Night Live, which aired on October 3rd, 2025, where the trio performed the song alongside Puerto Rican rapper and host for the evening: Bad Bunny, who played an obsessed superfan.

According to Variety, The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack marked a second non-consecutive week at No. 1, and of the 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the latest tracking week, the record accumulated 117 million on-demand official streams. Additionally, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has ranked four tracks on the Hot 100’s top ten—“Golden,”“Your Idol,” “Soda Pop,” and “How It’s Done,” which placed fourth, fifth and eighth, respectively.

KPop Demon Hunters has been taking the world by storm since it debuted on Netflix on August 23, 2025. Sitting at a 95% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has already seen some big-name collaborations—most notably with the trio being introduced as character skins in Fortnite. The girls even got their own line of Nongshim Ramen, which is another fun nod to the film.
