Lenovo has unveiled its next-generation ThinkPad lineup, featuring AI-powered enhancements designed to boost productivity for both business users and creative professionals.
Throughout 2025, Lenovo will release new generations of the ThinkPad P Series and ThinkPad L Series, featuring upgraded AMD and Intel CPUs. In addition to the next generation, the ThinkPad X1 Aura Edition will expand its Intel Core Ultra configurations, now with vPro support. With the new ThinkPad lineup arriving soon, many models will be updated with enhanced processing power to handle demanding applications, while the latest L Series will feature a redesigned chassis.
ThinkPad P14 Gen 6 and P16 Gen 4


The ThinkPad P14 is designed as the thinnest and lightest laptop in Lenovo’s lineup, while the ThinkPad P16 combines performance and portability for completing complex workloads on the go. The new ThinkPad P Series generation is powered by AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 Series processors, featuring AMD Zen 5 technology and integrated AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture.
Focusing on specifications, the ThinkPad P14 and P16 can be configured with AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 Series chips, up to the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370, which features a 5.1 GHz clock speed and 12 cores. They support up to 82 TOPS, up to 96 GB of memory, 2 TB of SSD storage, and include Copilot+ features. Releasing in May 2025, the ThinkPad P14 starts at $1,579, while the ThinkPad P16 starts at $1,619.
ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 And L13 2-in-1 Gen 6

Moving on to the L13 range of ThinkPad laptops, users can choose a traditional clamshell design with the ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 or a convertible design with the ThinkPad L13 2-in-1 Gen 6. The laptops feature a refreshed chassis and offer a smaller footprint, sleeker lines, and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 84.7 percent. In addition to the updated design, the communication bar integrates a 5 MP + IR camera, with an additional world-facing camera on the 2-in-1 model.
The ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 and L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 offer a brighter display with up to a 400-nit panel, up to 32 GB of memory, support for up to 1 TB of SSD storage, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.1 and an optional smart card reader. Users can choose between the Intel Core i9-2000U range with Intel vPro or an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro processor.
The ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 will launch in June 2025, starting at $1,509, while the ThinkPad L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 will start at $1,699.
ThinkPad L14 Gen 6 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 2


Enhancing the ThinkPad lineup for IT professionals and everyday users, the ThinkPad L14 Gen 6 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 2 will offer expanded configuration options to meet a variety of needs. Users can choose between Intel and AMD NPUs, including Intel Core Ultra 200U and 200H Series processors with Intel vPro, or AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 Series processors, with high-performance NPUs delivering up to 50 TOPS.
The ThinkPad L14 Gen 6 and L16 Gen 2 support up to 64 GB of memory and up to 2 TB of SSD storage. The ThinkPad L14 Gen 6 will start at $1,209, while the ThinkPad L16 Gen 2 will start at $1,219, with both models launching in June 2025.
ThinkPad X1 Aura Edition


Lastly, Lenovo is expanding configuration options for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition. Enhancing CPU and NPU performance, both models are now available with Intel Core Ultra 200U and 200H Series processors with Intel vPro.
As premium laptops in Lenovo’s lineup, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition feature a high screen-to-body ratio, Lenovo View, Dolby Atmos audio, and support for up to 32 GB of memory and 2 TB of SSD storage. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition will start at $2,269, while the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition will start at $2,399.
