Lies of P DLC Will Arrive Early 2025 & Studio's Next Game is a Sci-Fi Horror

On Friday, Publisher Neowiz revealed that Lies of P will receive new content with DLC arriving early in 2025 and developer Round 8 Studio is working on a new IP.

The publisher responsible for last year’s GOTY nominee Lies of P, Neowiz has revealed this Friday that the souls-like RPG get DLC early in 2025. But, the announcement went a whole step further and revealed that the developers at Round 8 Studio are working on a brand new Sci-Fi Horror IP, although it’s still likely a long way off, Korean EBN reports.

In a statement to EBN, Neowiz states “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” and “It is one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing” regarding the new Sci-Fi Horror IP. Back on November 1, Neowiz’s Ji Won Choi confirmed the Lies of P DLC and sequel by stating “Our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel.” This news arrived via a Director’s Letter and the upcoming DLC was confirmed after the title had sold over a million copies in one month following release. This is the first time Neowiz has committed to a window of release.

Lies of P has received a “generally favourable” reception since release. Metacritic has the Round 8 title at a neat 80% over 71 reviews, and public perception has been much better sitting at an 83%. CGMagazine describes Lies of P as “a brilliant game” that skilfully combines its influences while creating a unique identity.

As far as announcements go, Neowiz is still keeping storyline beats or anything gameplay-related regarding Lies of P, the DLC, the sequel, and Round 8’s new IP close to its chest as virtually nothing else has been revealed about any of the upcoming Round 8 Studio developments just yet.
