M. Bison Storms Into Street Fighter 6 LIKE LIGHTNING!

The first character in the Street Fighter 6 Season 2 Fighting Pass, M. Bison, became available to play at midnight on June 26th, 2024. His addition came alongside a new 1.06 update patch that added a lot of rebalancing to existing characters.

Originally introduced in Street Fighter 2, M. Bison is considered the series’ primary antagonist. While he was initially absent from Street Fighter 6, his inclusion was announced on June 7th, 2024, during the opening presentation for Summer Game’s Fest. M. Bison’s release comes ahead of the start of the Season 2 Fighting Pass, which will begin on July 1st, 2024.

Players can not only begin using M. Bison in Street Fighter 6’s online Battle Hub and local Fighting Grounds, but the man himself will also be a new Master in the single-player World Tour mode allowing players to unlock his moves for their personal avatar. M. Bison will also feature a host of new quests and NPCs to coincide with his Master status.

M. Bison is an incredibly versatile and punishing character. His attacks hit hard and have a surprising degree of range, especially his medium and heavy kicks. His iconic Psycho Crusher is a great option for closing the gap on defensive players. His Backfist Combo places a timed explosion on opponents to further combo potential, and his Shadow Rise puts him in the air quickly for extended aerial combos.

While no official details have been released for the other characters coming to the SF6 Season 2 Fighting Pass, Fatal Fury’s Terry—who was also featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate—is confirmed to be the next fighter releasing in Autumn of 2024. Fatal Fury’s Mai Shiranui is set to release in Winter of 2024, and Elena, who debuted in Street Fighter III: New Generation; will launch in Spring of 2025.
