Secretlab has launched the MAGNUS Evo, a new sit-to-stand desk that tackles one of the most common problems people face with height-adjustable workstations: cable chaos, and it looks stunning.
By this point, if you’re a gamer, you’ve likely heard of Secretlab. The company has delivered striking chairs, accessories and desks—some of which we reviewed and loved earlier this year. The MAGNUS Evo desk joins the MAGNUS lineup, with a focus on making cable management feel automatic rather than tedious. Built-in magnetic zones handle accessory and cord placement, allowing users to spend less time organizing and more time working.
Vincent Sin, head of industrial design at Secretlab, explained the thinking behind the desk’s layout. “As desk specialists, we considered every detail of cable and device management so you wouldn’t have to. From the most optimal cable-routing paths to the most natural placements for your devices, we explored one variation after another to arrive at what we believe is the simplest yet most effective way to keep your setup effortlessly neat”.
The MAGNUS Evo combines features from the MAGNUS Pro with new magnetic attachment points, positioned based on how people actually use their desks. Monitors sit flush against the back, cable anchors secure cords along the rear edge, and headphones hang within arm’s reach. It’s a strong concept in theory, and judging by the images shared by the company, the Evo is a striking desk—equally at home in a gamer’s room or an executive office.

A steel rear edge runs the full length of the desktop, providing a durable surface for monitor clamps while doubling as a magnetic strip for cable anchors. The left and right corners also feature magnetic zones that work with Secretlab’s headphone hanger accessory. The rest of the surface uses an ultra-matte laminate finish that is unique among the MAGNUS range, but manages to stand out.
Underneath, a magnetic drop-down cable tray hides power strips and excess wiring. The tray opens at a 30-degree angle for easy, one-handed access and closes with a magnetic snap. When open, it maintains a 10-millimetre gap from the wall to prevent scratches.
I was pleased to see the integrated power supply column—first introduced on the MAGNUS Pro—return in the Evo. It was one of my favourite features of the original desk, helping to keep cables neat and organized while maintaining a clean look, especially when showing off the setup. A single cable runs inside the leg to a built-in socket at the top, meaning only one cord needs to reach the wall outlet. Users plug their power strip into this socket, tuck it into the tray, and everything else stays hidden.
It also appears Secretlab is using high-quality components for all the motors, with the Evo featuring dual electric motors that adjust the desk height between 720 millimetres and 1,170 millimetres, with precision down to the millimetre. The motors operate at under 50 decibels, and the desk supports up to 120 kilograms. A flush-mounted LED control panel includes three custom height presets and an on-off switch.
Starting at US$749, £599, €699 or SGD$699, the MAGNUS Evo comes in two sizes: a standard 1.5-metre version and an XL model measuring 1.77 metres. Both models are available now through the company’s website.
The new desk is a compelling addition to an already strong lineup. Those interested can visit Secretlab’s website to learn more.
