With only a week standing in between players and Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala, NetEase has decided to uncork a slew of details surrounding the new season ahead of the April 11 launch. After the in-game canonical defeat of Dracula during the Eternal Night saga, Emma Frost invited the victors to a huge celebration. The setting of Season 2 is the Mutant haven of the Living Island Krakoa, for the annual Hellfire Gala. Things go awry when Ultron crashes the party, and it’s up to the Marvel Rivals to protect Krakoa’s greatest treasure from Ultron. Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala Features
- Two new characters have entered the battlefield of Rivals, the Vanguard class Emma Frost, and Ultron with a yet-to-be-revealed class.
- Two new maps will be added as part of Season 2, and the first is HELLFIRE GALA: KRAKOA. The center of the gala will be home to the new map, and fireworks will light up the sky in celebration.
- New weekly missions can help players unlock rewards easily.
- Team-up abilities will be adjusted (Captain America and Winter Soldier are said to get a team-up ability called Stellar Impact).
- Starting with Season 3, Marvel Rivals will switch to a two-month format, with a new hero debuting each month.
- Starting with Season 2, Marvel Rivals has partnered with Razer to integrate Razer Sensa HD Haptics and Razer Chroma RGB lighting technologies into Rivals gameplay.
