The previously announced Arc System Works Marvel title, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, has been confirmed to be playable at the Arc booth on the showroom floor.
The previously announced collaboration between three titans of gaming, PlayStation XDEV, Arc System Works and Marvel Games, has finally been pulled further into the light following its exciting reveal at Sony’s State of Play June 2025 presentation. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be fully playable at the biggest fighting game event of the year, Evo 2025. Sony revealed the plans over on the PlayStation Blog, and the title will be playable from the showroom floor, exclusively at the Arc System Works booth. The first (and only so far) trailer for the upcoming fighter can be seen below.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls brings an entirely new style and aesthetic to Marvel’s roster of heroes, with four-vs-four battles (a step up from Marvel vs. Capcom‘s 3v3 model) that look as intense as fans have come to expect from Arc Sys. At the Evo 2025 booth, fans will be able to deploy their own team of constructed Marvel heroes (sadly, without the Fantastic Four) to distribute violence on other teams in the name of glory. Confirmed roster inclusions are listed below, alongside their alter egos if it’s unclear.
- Captain America
- Doctor Doom
- Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)
- Iron Man
- Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
- Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
- Star-Lord
- Storm

All attendees who take part in the live gameplay element at Evo 2025 at the Arc System Works booth, will also walk away with a collectible pin based on Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Game Director:, Kazuto “Pachi” Sekine said, “The game is still under development, but we’re really looking forward to sharing more in our Evo panel, and especially for fans to try it out for themselves with the very first trial version at the event. My hope is to “Assemble” with all of the players and create an amazing game together.”
The Evo 2025 event takes place from August 1st until August 3rd, and the event will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For ticketing information fans can head to the official Evo 2025 site, but for those who just want to watch the action at home can do so by heading to the official Evo YouTube channel.
