Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Release Date Leaked – And Konami Just Confirmed It

From Leak To Real

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Leak Says It Releases in August 2025

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is officially launching on August 28, 2025, confirming long-standing leaks about its delay.

The upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, will arrive on August 28, 2025, according to a supposed PlayStation Store leak (which has since been updated), and shortly after the leak happened, Konami pulled back the curtain and released the trailer. What was once supposed to be released in 2024 has now officially moved into August 2025. The previously leaked footage showed the exact gameplay and trailer beats as the just released trailer by Konami. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is no stranger to leaks, as a prominent leaker suggested the title would be pushed to 2025 back in May 2024. The trailer can be seen below, courtesy of Konami.

The official trailer covers a range of events that occurred in Snake Eater, including fresh looks at graphically enhanced ‘Sons of the Boss’ adversaries that steep the title in Sci-Fi with supersoldier powers. The trailer/gameplay trailer comes fresh off the internet rumour Sony will have a PlayStation State of Play scheduled for next week.

A known leaker who accurately leaked the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 trailer, NateTheHate, was asked in a message thread, “Is the first State of Play of the year still coming in February?” to which he responded, “Yes,” to X (formerly Twitter). As far as the Sony PlayStation State of Play goes, it’s uncertain if the showcase will arrive in February, but the leaked trailer does appear to be legitimate.

The now official Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer also concludes with a nod to the mini-game collaboration present in the original PlayStation 2 release, Snake vs. Monkey (from Ape Escape). It’s important to note that no matter how authentic leaks appear, fans should take them with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made, and today, Konami made the leaked trailer official shortly after the leak happened.
