Microsoft’s Sarah Bond Teases ‘Every Screen is an Xbox’ Strategy

Xbox - The Screen

Xbox's Gaming Business Update Happens Today & Sarah Bond has said 'Every Screen is an Xbox' In Preparation

In a town hall meeting last week, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer and Xbox President Sarah Bond spoke to employees about the future, and today, it has been revealed that Sarah Bond allegedly told employees that “every screen is an Xbox.”

On the 6th of February, Xbox held a town hall meeting to talk to employees about rumours that had been circulating on the internet and infuriating fans. The rumours suggested that Microsoft would be putting platform-exclusive software on competing devices (such as the PS5). According to Inverse, every screen in the town hall was emblazoned with Palworld to emphasize that Xbox could be on any screen. This makes Sarah Bond’s point about Xbox Game Pass all the more true.

This report has done almost nothing to quell fan concerns and fans have once again taken to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their concerns. PlayStation fans like JayDubcity16 have already begun celebrating (and trolling) with posts that say “Me and PlayStation Nation ready for the “Every screen is an Xbox” Podcast by the white flag raisers. Can’t wait to get a new fluctuation of Xbox Studios Games to embrace my PlayStation 5! Let’s Gooooo!”

Other fans have made jokes showing the very small pregnancy test screens in regards to Sarah Bond’s statement, but overall, fans are just waiting for the official announcements to drop. Microsoft employees have also allegedly joked during the town hall about the possibility of Microsoft releasing a new handheld console after seeing so many screens with Palworld, but all will hopefully be revealed during today’s business update.

How to Watch The Xbox Business Update Today

The easiest part for fans will be how to watch the event. The update will air today, February 15, over on the official Xbox YouTube channel. It will start at 3 p.m. EST, and aside from YouTube, Microsoft has stated that it can also be heard from wherever fans listen to podcasts, so it remains to be seen as to whether they will launch it on Apple Podcasts or Spotify as well.
