New Microsoft Deadpool Controller ASSerts Gaming Fandom

With a week until Deadpool and Wolverine lands in theatres, Microsoft reveals a unique Deadpool Xbox controller with a cheeky twist.

The media package for Deadpool and Wolverine (the third film in the franchise) has seen some incredibly high highs leading up to its release. First, fans received the news that a very special popcorn bucket would be arriving in theatres with the film (poking fun at the Dune Part 2 popcorn bucket). Then, Reynolds unleashed two separate limited edition bottles of Aviation Gin, one to coincide with the Wolverine part of the film and the other to showcase the hero’s black and red colours. Ryan Reynolds even went on record saying he paid his co-writers directly to have them on set for the first film in the franchise.

New Microsoft Deadpool Controller Asserts Gaming Fandom

Finally, today, Microsoft has revealed that they, too, have a specialized promotion for the film, and to put it bluntly, Microsoft has made a new Xbox controller shaped like Deadpool’s backside. A post from X (formerly Twitter) has announced the collaboration, and it can be seen below.

Unfortunately for diehard fans, these incredibly limited controllers are exclusive to the sweepstakes outlined in the post and not purchasable separately. To enter the sweepstakes, fans must be 18 years of age or older (or have parental supervision to enter), be located in one of the Xbox-supported countries, and have an existing X account with which to make your post. Then, fans can follow Xbox on X and repost the above post to gain one entry into the sweepstakes. More information can be found on the Xbox sweepstakes page.

The highly anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine is scheduled to hit theatres globally on July 25.
