Minecraft LIVE Announces Minecraft Theme Park Attraction And Much More

The Minecraft LIVE Broadcast has just revealed some amazing new news for the game and the real world.

Starting off with the announcement of Minecraft World, this is a real-world theme park that is coming in 2027. The theme park will feature many Minecraft-themed attractions inclduing a world-first rollercoaster, hopefully akin to the minecart rollercoasters in the game, plus interactive activities, playscapes, and themed retail stores and dining stores.

Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios have been working together to make the park as close to Minecraft as possible. They’re even working with Minecraft creators to collaborate on how to bring the world to life as authentically as possible. Minecraft World will be located a 35-minute train ride away from London Waterloo and open at Chessington World of Adventures.

Minecraft is really leaking into the real world this year because there is another event taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Monikerd the Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail, the experience will open in May of 2026 and will be a fully interactive experience where people can mine diamonds, restore an old beacon, craft gear, and more in this nighttime adventure. Just make sure to bring some torches.

Heading back into the virtual world, we got an extended peek at the Tiny Takeover update for the main game. This update is especially cute as it reworks the design of the baby mobs so every little creature now has an even cuter form. This extends to basically every mob in the game, even if it’s hostile, plus there’s a new item called the Golden Dandelion that, when crafted and used on a baby mob, makes them never grow up.

There’s also the addition of making nametags craftable from a piece of paper and any metal nugget, finally, and a redstoner’s dream of trumpet noises while playing a note block over a block of copper. The sound even changes depending on how oxidized the copper block is; there’s going to be some cool creations from that addition.

This next content update for Minecraft includes the addition of sulfur caves and sulfur cubes. The cubes themselves are just the average slime, but once they absorb certain materials, they gain special properties. Once they absorb a material either through a player feeding it to them or just being near something, they can obtain different physical effects, like being bouncier.

These cubes can only be found in the new sulfur caves, where you can find Sulfur and Cinnabar, a new block type that is reminiscent of stones and granite, whereby they can also be made into raw, bricks, chiselled, and polished forms. Be careful, though, if you fall into a sulfur gas pool, you will be affected by the noxious effect.

The last kicker we saw during Minecraft LIVE was the announcement of Minecraft Dungeons 2, which can be wishlisted from March 21st onwards. An extremely substantial list of news and updates from Mojang
