Months after it was first announced, we now know when the Motorola Razr is coming and how much it will cost.
You will not have to wait long to get your hands on Motorola’s new foldable phone, as the Motorola Razr Fold will be available to Canadians through Motorola for C$2,699.99 on May 21. The phone comes in one of two styles: Pantone Blackened Blue, with a vegan-leather matte finish, or Pantone Lily White, with a smooth, sleek texture. Further availability will also be coming to select carriers on June 12.
Motorola is joining the new foldable style with a book-style device instead of the clamshell we have seen from Razr devices in the past. It becomes almost square when unfolded, transitioning from a 6.6-inch display to an 8.1-inch display. With its planned price point, it’s worth considering against other top foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold if you’re looking to get into foldables. If you want some more details to decide if it’s worth it, we have that too.

If you are into camera work, you may be interested in the several camera options, which include a 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, 32-megapixel external front camera, 20-megapixel internal front camera, and up to 4K at 60 fps video or 8K at 30 fps video.
On the technical side, the Motorola Razr Fold runs Android 16, has 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, includes RAM Boost, and uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. It has a 6000 mAh battery, 80W TurboPower charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging. The phone also has Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Sound by Bose tuning and three separate microphones.
You can get the new Motorola Razr fold for $2,699.99 CAD when it releases on May 21 on the Motorola website, or wait until June 12, when it becomes available on a selection of carriers.
