Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of the Castlevania: Nocturne anime, releasing on January 16th, 2025 exclusively on Netflix.
Following the success of the first season of Castlevania: Nocturne, Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming second season, showcasing the legendary Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters, joined alongside the son of Dracula, Alucard, reuniting with a Belmont once again to take down Erzsebet Báthory. With Alucard returning from the original Castlevania anime and reprise by James Callis, Castlevania: Nocturne will premiere on January 16th, 2025.
From what is known so far about the plot of Castlevania: Nocturne season two, many characters from the first season such as Richter Belmont, Maria Renard, Annette, Edouard, and Tera have returned but have gone through great emotional and physical changes after their encounters with the group of vampires. Richter and his band of vampire hunters embark on a mission to take down Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah who seems invincible, seeking the full power of the goddess Sekhmet to plunge the world into endless darkness and terror. With the world at stake, this season will primarily take place in the French countryside between Machecoul and Paris, with an occasional trip to Egpyt.
Following Alucard’s battle against his father, Dracula, he will be tagging along with Richter Belmont in Castlevania: Nocturne in their quest to take down the Vampire Messiah. The fans of Alucard will be pleased to see him returning to provide aid to Richter, another beloved vampire hunter who debuted in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. This time around, as the anime is loosely based on Rondo of Blood, Alucard will guide Ricther and Annette to Paris to find the final element before Erzsebet can get hold of it, and travel to an ancient Egyptian temple to learn about the Sekhmet.
