Netflix has announced many content that will arrive across 2025 during the Next on Netflix showcase, highlighting Squid Game Season 3, RIP, and many more.
To make the year 2025 quite more interesting, many shows, films, and games were announced during the Next on Netflix showcase for fans to look forward to throughout the year whether they are fans of comedy, drama, romance, or everything. With the many announcements some of the biggest highlights from the announcements were Squid Game season 3, RIP with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, a murder mystery series called The Residence, and many more.
Highlighting the much content that will be arriving on Netflix throughout 2025, fans can expect:
RIP – Releasing in Fall, 2025
Inspired by the 70s cop thriller movies such as Serpico and Prince of the City and the life of the Director Joe Carnahan’s friend who was a father and head of the tactical narcotic for the Miami Dade police department during his time, RIP is about a million-dollar cash being discovered in a stash house, but the Miami cops trust for each other start to fade. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, the childhood actors’ friends, reunite once again in the upcoming film as their characters will be working together, focusing on trust as they don’t know who is trustworthy or a foe.
The Residence – Releasing on March 20, 2025
Starring Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black) as an investigator named Cordelia Cupp in The Residence, she must solve a murder-mystery case after a dead body is discovered in the White House, but it will be challenging as there are 132 rooms and 157 suspects. With a murderer on the loose, Cordelia must search for clues and put together the possible suspect behind the murder, despite the tension being high with the political parties, secrets that are hidden, and the constant danger around the investigator and innocent members.
Devil May Cry – Releasing on April 3, 2025
From the creators of the Castlevania anime, Adi Shankar will be adapting the hit Capcom game, Devil May Cry. Being set in a separate universe during the late 90s/early 2000s, a portal is opened between the human and demon realms, and it is up to the devil hunter Dante to stop the crisis and save humanity.
You (Season 5) – Releasing on April 24, 2025
Wrapping up the seven-year-old series, You is coming to an end in the upcoming fifth season. The final season will focus on Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) returning to New York as he enjoys his perfect life, until the ghost of his past returns alongside his dark and twisted desires after running into a new character named Bronte (Madeline Brewer), making him reconsider his current life choices. But with his dark desires resurfacing, he will also need to deal with his wife Kate’s siblings.
Squid Game (Season 3) – Releasing on June 27, 2025
Returning to the spotlight again, Squid Game will premiere the third and final season on June 27, 2025. Starring Lee Jung-Jae as he returns as Gi-hun, he is captured by the Front Man, leaving the fate of Gi-hun a mystery as a consequence of helping out his peers throughout the dangerous games. With the remainder of the surviving players, do they have what it takes to survive the rounds of the chaotic games to avoid death?
