Nintendo surprised the masses by announcing a double feature Nintendo Direct for today, and these are all the announcements from the Partner Showcase.
Right after a fast-paced Indie World presentation, the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase took off, being the second Direct since the June showcase after Summer Games Fest 2024. That showcase gave fans an exciting first look at some of Nintendo’s upcoming first-party offerings but today is a different type of showcase where Nintendo is pulling back the curtain on some of their third-party-developed titles from an exciting Partner Showcase showcase.

Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase August 2024 Announcements
Tetris Forever
The Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase kicked off with a Tetris collection announcement. Many older Tetris titles including the new amalgamation of titles, Tetris Time Warp, is arriving at a TBD date in 2024.
Star Overdrive
Journey to the Galaxies depths to reunite with your beloved, featuring fast hoverboard action in the newly announced Star Overdrive. Star Overdrive will launch at a TBD date in 2025.
Goat Simulator 3
A port of the popular Goat Simulator 3 title is coming to Nintendo Switch later today (with a physical release coming in November 2024).
Sponge-Bob Square-Pants: The Patrick Star Game
A new Sponge-Bob Square-Pants game is coming, and it stars everyone’s favourite starfish sidekick, Patrick. The new title launches on October 4.
Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer
The latest entry in the Nintendo Switch fitness series, Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer is coming to consoles on December 5th.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2
Capcom has gone ahead and announced a second fighting game collection before the Capcom vs. Marvel Collection was released. This new collection is coming at a TBD date in 2025, and it includes:
- Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
- Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
- Capcom Fighting Evolution
- Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
- Project Justice
- Power Stone
- Power Stone 2
- Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein
- And the first Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection featuring Marvel vs Capcom 2 is coming on September 12.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
The newest entry in the Atelier series features a new protagonist, Yumia, an alchemist, as she confronts her past, her memories, and the art of alchemy. Coming early 2025.
Castlevania Dominus Collection
Another Castlevania collection is coming and this Castlevania Dominus Collection is bringing the classic DS titles as ports to the Nintendo Switch today!
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
The latest entry in the RTS series, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch and it is coming to the console on February 11, 2025.
Tales of Graces f Remastered
One of the more niche Tales series titles is coming to the Nintendo Switch after being stuck on the PlayStation Vita for many years. This remaster brings a toggle for enemy encounters, and it launches on January 17, 2025.
MySims Cozy Bundle
To add to the myriad of ports being brought to the Nintendo Switch in the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is two fun adventures introduced on the Nintendo Wii. MySims is coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 14.
Five Nights At Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2
The latest entry in the Five Nights At Freddy’s series, FNAF: Help Wanted 2 inserts you, the player, as staff at Freddy Fazbear’s this Holiday Season on Nintendo Switch.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
The second-to-last announcement for the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase takes place in the Eastern Isle of Azuma, and spiritual forces can be controlled to revitalize the land in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Like other Rune Factory titles, players can customize their town and make relationships in this Edo Period-looking Rune Factory title.
Yakuza Kiwami
The last announcement for the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is Yakuza Kiwami, the port of one of the first Yakuza titles featuring series mainstay Kazuma Kiryu, that shows the story’s beginnings. It launches in October 2024.
